President & Founder

Nan Zieleniec

Nan helps executives translate their strategic vision into HR solutions that meet their business objectives. Having served as HR leader for large, publicly held companies and as a trusted advisor for smaller, privately held organizations, she has been involved with every facet of HR, and her expertise is both deep and broad.

Prior to starting her consulting practice in 2013, Nan served as the chief HR executive for two publicly held companies: SITE Centers Corp. (formerly DDR Corporation) and Associated Estates Realty Corporation. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational communication from Ohio University and a Master of Science degree in business, human resources & labor relations from the University of Cincinnati.  Nan’s knowledge of the current HR landscape is informed by continued education, participation in relevant trade organizations and dialogue with a wide network of thought leaders in the business, legal and HR communities.

With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nan was asked by one of her valued private equity clients to chair what became known as the Human Capital Taskforce. Nan led the firm's efforts to provide pandemic business guidance to its own associates and to the portfolio companies.  From the initial shelter-in-place orders to the phased re-openings, Nan worked with senior executives and HR leaders to secure their operations, achieve compliance, and support their workforces.

Nan has been engaged by her legal colleagues to serve as an independent, third-party investigator examining a variety of workplace matters. These investigations allow Nan to capitalize on her deep experience as an HR practitioner working with employees, managers, C-suite leaders, and boards of directors. Nan conducts thorough, prompt and impartial investigations for employers without generating a conflict of interest that may arise when a company lawyer serves as the investigator.

Nan has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations and continues to lend support to an array of community initiatives in a personal effort to give back and repair the world.
